Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, "To Kill a Mockingbird," has
been an enduring, although sometimes controversial, classic of American
literature and was recently voted the best novel of the twentieth
century by the Library Journal. Its main character, Atticus
Finch,
who
risks his career and family to defend a black man against a charge of
rape in the 1930s, may be one of the most admired fictional characters. Cardinal Stage
Company, in collaboration with the IU College of Arts and Sciences, is
bringing the story to downtown Bloomington as part of the fall themester
exploration of "Good Behavior, Bad Behavior: Molecules to Morality."
Join fellow honors students for the opening night performance on Friday,
Sept. 7, and watch HHC student Emily Scott in the role of Mayella!
