Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, "To Kill a Mockingbird," has been an enduring, although sometimes controversial, classic of American literature and was recently voted the best novel of the twentieth century by the Library Journal. Its main character, Atticus Finch, who risks his career and family to defend a black man against a charge of rape in the 1930s, may be one of the most admired fictional characters. Cardinal Stage Company, in collaboration with the IU College of Arts and Sciences, is bringing the story to downtown Bloomington as part of the fall themester exploration of "Good Behavior, Bad Behavior: Molecules to Morality." Join fellow honors students for the opening night performance on Friday, Sept. 7, and watch HHC student Emily Scott in the role of Mayella!

SIGN-UP INFO: HHC students, if you are interested in attending this undergraduate event, please stop by room 210H in the HHC building (811 E. Seventh St.) weekdays between 8 a.m. and noon or 1 and 4 p.m. You will need to pay for your ticket(s) with cash at that time. The discount can be applied to two tickets per person, allowing each HHC student to bring one guest (who must be a student but need not be a member of the HHC). Deadline to purchase your $10 ticket(s) is Tuesday, Aug. 28, at 4:00 p.m. For ticketed events, refunds will not be possible unless another student wishes to attend.
