The Magic of the MAC

September 12, 2012

MAC House Manager Tridib Pal provided the opportunity for students to explore the MAC from every angle, as well as the new sets for the IU Opera Theatre's production of Mozart's Don Giovanni. One of the grandest performance venues in the United States, the MAC seats 1,460 and features acoustical design and technical capabilities that are among the best in the United States. Regularly compared to the Metropolitan Opera venue in New York City, the main stage is 90 feet wide by 60 feet deep. The backstage area occupies more than half the building and provides state-of-the art space for technical work.
