IU Traditions: A Fireside Chat with
University Chancellor Kenneth R.R. Gros Louis
March 30, 2009
In celebration of Founders Day, students had the opportunity to
learn more about IU's traditions and culture at this informal program
with University Chancellor Kenneth R.R. Gros Louis. The chancellor has
been at IU since 1964, when he was hired as a professor of English and
comparative literature. He has since served as chief executive of the
Bloomington campus, senior vice president for academic affairs,
Bloomington chancellor, and his current role of university chancellor.
At this program, students took a "pop quiz" on IU traditions devised by
the chancellor and then had the opportunity to hear his stories and ask
him questions about the campus.
