What does it take to stage productions as varied as SEUSSICAL
the MUSICAL, Chekhov's THE
SEAGULL, Sondheim's A
FUNNY THING HAPPENED on the WAY to the FORUM, or Shakespeare's MEASURE
for MEASURE? Join us for a tour of IU's beautiful theatre building
with its Ruth N. Halls Theatre and the more intimate Wells-Metz Theatre,
its state-of-the-art technology, and studios for costumes, lighting,
scenes, props, and more.
The "Halls Theatre has been the venue for large musicals as well as more
intimate theatrical pieces. Its large side stage provides a scenery
construction and paint area immediately adjacent to the scenic studio for
larger shows and projects." The Wells-Metz Theatre is a flexible,
"intimate space with audience as close as 5 feet from the action. . . .
With a full stage trap room and overhead suspension grid, the theatre has
become known for its environmental productions with performers playing
throughout the space from trap to grid." (For more on the facilities, see
here.)
RSVP: If you would like to attend, please e-mail eatagi

indiana.edu
and be sure to include your name, e-mail address, phone number, year in
school, and major(s). As this is a tour, you must be available to attend
