Please feel welcome to stop by the Great Room of the new Hutton Honors
College building on Tuesday, Jan. 20, between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., to
watch televised coverage of the presidential inauguration!
The inaugural
festivities
kick off at 10 a.m. with performances by the
United States Marine Band, the San Francisco Boys Chorus, and the San
Francisco Girls Chorus. At 11:30 a.m. Senator Dianne Feinstein will
offer opening remarks; Joe Biden will be sworn in as vice president;
Aretha Franklin will perform; and Itzhak Perlman, Yo-Yo Ma, Gabriela
Montero, and Anthony McGill will premiere a piece written by John
Williams. Barack Obama will be sworn in as president at noon and will
then deliver his inaugural address. The inaugural parade down
Pennsylvania Avenue from the Capitol to the White House is scheduled for
approximately 2:30 p.m.

historic events.
