Are you a mostly broke college student? Even if you don't fit the
stereotype, this presentation will have information that is dangerous to
ignore. Do you know if it is safer to use a debit card or a credit card
when shopping online? Do you know what identifying details you should
absolutely NOT put on Facebook? Do you know how to tell the difference
between an employment scam and a legitimate job opportunity? Do you know
how to put a security freeze on your credit reports? Come find out why
you are lucky to be a student and a consumer in Indiana. You will learn
about important information and services that will be useful for the
rest of your life. You will even want to share this information with
your friends and family!-Christopher Wilson
At this HHC fireside event, Mr. Wilson will speak and respond to
questions. He represents the Consumer Protection Division of the Office
of the Indiana Attorney General, the state entity that investigates ID
theft, scams and fraud. As part of its mission, the division seeks to
educate the public on how to avoid becoming victims. The AG is also the
attorney acting in the interests of the state as a whole, including the
interests of Hoosier consumers. For information on the free resources
available from the Office of the Attorney General, go to
