Have you chosen a major that will lead to a job? to satisfy your
parents? to learn about a field about which you are passionate, even if
the chances it will lead to a job are slim? Who should pay for your
education and the education of other undergraduates? the student? the
student's family? the government? IU? Who should decide your degree
requirements? IU? the state? you?
Come for an examination of these and other questions and learn how to
write a policy proposal that could bring about the change you would like
to see in the content and/or funding of higher education.
Everyone is encouraged to attend the panel discussion, which is
open to the public. Sign-up required to attend the undergraduate
workshop. Students who wish to attend the workshop must be available
for the Friday (6-8 p.m.) and Saturday (9a.m.-3 p.m.) sessions.
