Creative Activity Grant
Up to $1500 Fall or Spring
Up to $3000 Summer
Creative activity grants are intended to help students spend a
significant
amount of time pursuing activity of an artistic and creative
nature.
These grants are for students who show significant potential in some creative
field. Recent awards have helped support musicians, writers, painters,
photographers, and sculptors. An applicant should be able to demonstrate
a strong sense of his/her intentions and goals and must be highly recommended
by two faculty members who know his/her work. (Faculty members who recommend
more than one student for these grants will be expected to rank those
he/she recommends.)
Applicants for these awards normally submit already completed work to
help the committee make its decision. Recipients of these awards
may be expected to share their work with other students during the
following
semester.
These awards are not intended to support work being done for
classes.
To apply for a Creative Activity Grant obtain an application at here.
Please Note: All applicants must attach an unofficial
IUB transcript
to this application.
If you are packaged with need-based federal financial aid (for
example, Stafford loans, Pell grants), and you receive one of the
HHC's grants, awards, scholarships, or prizes, your award may not be
paid-out in the form of cash funds (i.e., as money paid into your
Bursar account), but instead, may be used by IU's Office of Student
Financial Assistance (OSFA) to reduce your student loan burden.
Awards will be announced approximately six weeks after the deadline.
Don't forget to read the general
eligibility requirements.
