Orientation will occur from June 5 until June 26.

Dear Hutton Honors College Freshman:

It's time to begin planning your two-day summer visit to Bloomington, and we're here to help you get the most from your Orientation and Registration experience.

The most important thing you can do right now to prepare for your advising appointment is to select a list of 20 possible course choices (be sure to include a few honors course choices as well as several non-honors course choices) from the course lists and descriptions linked below to become familiar with courses you might enjoy your first semester here.

Please click on each one of the links below to read important information about your orientation and registration activities. Our advising staff, students, and faculty will provide ongoing support and advice during your time at IU. We look forward to meeting you this summer and to working with you in the years ahead.

• BE SURE TO COMPLETE THE ACADEMIC PLANNING WORKSHEET (APW)
  Complete the APW and bring it to your pre-advising group meeting and to your advising conference. List at least twenty courses. If you have satisfied the composition and/or mathematics requirements, you will have more options for your first semester schedule. Most IU courses satisfy either a major, general education, or a general elective requirement. Your fall schedule will be composed of four to six courses (or 15 to 17 credit hours). You should probably limit yourself to one or two HHC courses. NOTE: Be sure to fill out your APW completely in order to ensure a successful advising conference.
