  Natalie DeDeo

Ph.D, University of North Texas, Political Science

Natalie DeDeo holds a doctorate in political science from the University of North Texas with specializations in political theory and philosophy. Her current research focuses on early modern literary works that explore technological change. After spending several years teaching a wide array of interdisciplinary courses at St. John’s College—including classical mathematics, history of science, and classical Greek—DeDeo will bring her experience to the Hutton Honors College to teach courses that explore technology and the literary imagination. She will also conduct research at the Poynter Center on Francis Bacon’s early modern writings—where Bacon retells classical fables for an emerging scientific world.
