| Richard Burke has specialized in the role of mass media in
social change. For more than 30 years he has combined
his teaching and research in communications with
extensive fieldwork in Africa, Latin America, and the
Middle East. He has also taught media ethics and professional
responsibility. In the Honors College, Professor
Burke teaches H211 and H212, Ideas and Experience, and he is an active member
of the Honors College extracurricular activities committee. He has had a
lifelong interest in drama and theatre, is a docent for the IU Art Museum, and
serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in the Monroe County juvenile
justice system. |
