HSO Application

HSO Information Guide

What is the Honors Student Organization?

The Honors Student Organization is a group of honors students who plan and participate in social, academic and service opportunities to further the mission of the Hutton Honors College. By organizing social and philanthropic events for HHC students, HSO demonstrates a commitment to the IU-Bloomington community. Honors students often become leaders on the IU campus, and many students find HSO a wonderful way to meet fellow honors students.

Who can join HSO?

Any HHC student is welcome and encouraged to join!

HSO Executive Board

The HSO Executive Board is for students who want to have a leadership position in the organization. Board members are expected to attend bi-weekly planning sessions and to fulfill the duties outlined for their position at the beginning of the year. There are still several positions available for this fall and applications are available for those who are interested. Previous positions include chairs for membership, philanthropy, fund-raising, and marketing.
