Motivation
There is nationwide interest in training students of mathematics for industrial careers. This is motivated by the fact that over the years mathematics has become truly interdisciplinary in nature and can be used as a valuable tool for problem solving in an industrial environment. Industrial mathematics necessarily involves modeling and
analysis of physical systems. By developing this course at the undergraduate level we want to take the first step in putting the students on the path to an industrial career.
