Advising

The role of the nursing advisor is to help students develop and achieve their academic and career goals and to assist students in meeting the admission, progression, and graduation requirements of the BSN major. The nursing advising offices are located in Rooms 401 and 436, Sycamore Hall. To schedule an appointment please call 812-855-1736 or 812-855-6875 or email a nursing advisor.

Deborah Hrisomalos RN, MSN, MBA, Assistant Director of Student Services, serves as the primary academic advisor for the School of Nursing at IU Bloomington. Debbie advises pre-nursing students, students who want to change majors, transfer students, RN-BSN students and students admitted to the school of nursing.

Leslie Hobbs-Ramsey joined the advising staff in November 2008 and advises pre-nursing students, IU students wishing to change majors, transfer students, and high school students interested in the Nursing program.
