Nursing Learning Resource Center

Map of NRLC

NRLC Mission:
The IU School of Nursing Learning Resource Center (NLRC) was developed and made possible by the faculty of the School of Nursing and the IU Bloomington Administration. Our goal is to offer multi-faceted educational resources that will promote and stimulate students to develop and refine their clinical assessment skills. Students are exposed in the NRLC to an array of resources, which include computerized study, laser disc study, periodicals and books, audio and videocassettes, Internet access, as well as simulated healthcare environments.

The success of the Learning Laboratory is facilitated by the presence of a work-study assistant, who will assist students in locating and accessing resources. A professional registered nurse will be available for skill and assessment questions and instructions at certain times.

Quality Improvement is a way of life for Healthcare Institutions, both service and academia. The Faculty at IU School of Nursing is committed to serving students' educational needs. Therefore, we will track resource and lab utilization, to help us determine which modes of learning seem most useful. Student comments about the NRLC are very important to us. Students may address comments to Tammy Guerrettaz tguerret@indiana.edu. Thank You.
