IU Nursing Students Raise Money for Suicide Prevention

IU School of Nursing students at IU Stadium for Out of Darkness Walk

Over forty IU nursing students participated inthe Out of the Darkness Walk to promote suicide prevention. IUSON raised the largest amount of money of all of the groups that attended the event.



RealCare Baby Simulation Gives Nursing Students Experience with Parenthood

Students in NURS-B 235 learned what it's like to take care of a baby when they brought home RealCare babies for the night. The simulation babies required rocking, feeding, burping, diapering, and proper head support.

Two Awards

Amy Wonder Receives Lansgston Research Award at NLN

Dr. Amy Hagedorn Wonder and her research partner, Dr. Darrell Spurlock Jr. from Widener University School of Nursing, received the 2016 Nancy Langston Research Award from the National League for Nursing. The award will fund a large, national study of evidence-based practice (EBP) knowledge across levels in nursing education. Pictured: Drs. They also received the Journal of Nursing Education's Christine A. Tanner Award for advancing the science of nursing education with their work in developing and testing the Evidence-based Practice Knowledge Assessment in Nursing (EKAN).
