Dean Marion Broome, the 2012 recipient of the NLN Award for Outstanding Leadership in Nursing Education. This award will be presented at the Summit. Dean Broome's efforts to call attention to the national need for research in nursing education and for increased support for new scholars choosing this career trajectory were central in her nomination, and all letters of support spoke to the impact these efforts have on the larger field.
