I am a theoretical nuclear physicist doing research on Neutrino interactions in dense matter and supernova explosions, very dense matter and properties of neutron stars, laboratory measurements of nuclear properties important for astrophysics, measuring the neutron radius of a heavy nucleus such as 208Pb via parity violating electron scattering, neutrino-proton elastic scattering and strange quark contributions to the nucleon spin, symmetry tests in nuclei, charge Symmetry Breaking probes subtle differences between up and down quarks. In 2000 I organized a conference on Parity Violation in atomic and nuclear systems in Trento Italy. The isospin violating process d+d-->He4 + pi0 is being observed at IUCF . I am involved in a theoretical collaboration to relate the cross section to isospin violating terms in chiral pert. theory.
