My first modeling project was to find the maximum rectangular area for Tommie's dog Ginger. Using the garage for one side of the rectangle and a set amount of fence, they had to find the maximum area for the dog. Many students found the max but few actually show why it was the max or some just found an area that worked and called it quits. The overall time took two class days and three more to write there results in a friendly letter. If you think this is two easy of a problem you need to understand that a square does not have the greatest amount of area varing only three sides. Overall I give it a B
