| I am teaching a self contained classroom of second grade G.T. students. They were placed in the program at the end of first grade. Students in the G.T. classes in our district skip the second grade book. Most students are doing amazingly well in the third grade book. At times, I have to spend a little more time on a concept/skill that was introduced in the second grade book. I have a few that can reduce fractions in their heads and also name some equivalent decimals. How are others meeting the needs of the advanced students? |

| I do not have a GT class, but I have some very strong math students. They love to do the Enrichment activities, play games that are more advanced versions of familiar games, and the projects at the end of the book. These activities can be expanded to meet the needs of the students. |
