Sept. 12, 2011: University of Northern Iowa Press release

August 29: The season begins at the Univesity of Northern Iowa

Aug 29: IU Debate will begin our travel schedule at the University of Northern Iowa on September 9-11th. Other teams in attendance include: Northwestern, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois State, Augustana.

July 21, 2011: Policy Topic Announced, Democracy and the Arab Spring.

The Arab Spring is a dominant point of discussion in higher education. The policy debate world has voted to debate the issue via the mechanism of U.S. democracy assistance. Starting from August-March, our team will be researching every angle of the following resolution:

Resolved: The United States Federal Government should substantially increase its democracy assistance for one or more of the following: Bahrain, Egypt, Libya, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen.
