Donnelly for Senate / Gregg for Governor / Indiana Democratic Party Internships
Do you want to have an impact on the fate of the United States Senate in 2012?
Joe Donnelly (D) is running in what is shaping up to be the closest Senate race in the country. Every poll has been within the margin of error. Folks in Washington D.C. are watching Indiana and the Indiana Democratic Party is watching Bloomington as the key to an aggressive field operation that will deliver Donnelly crucial swing votes in southern Indiana and maintain the Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate.
Donnelly has joined forces with Democratic candidate for Governor John Gregg to launch a statewide field effort and we are looking for smart, talented students to fill various internship roles. Interns will learn about campaign strategy, coordination, structure, logistics, tactics, and gain valuable experience in the political realm. We are looking for a variety of skill sets to fill various roles on the campaign. If you would like to earn course credit for the internship, we will work with you to make sure you meet the requirements.
No experience necessary. Attributes that assist in achieving leadership roles include:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical mindset and can-do attitude
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and creatively problem-solve
- Strong interpersonal skills and team player
