House Passes Historic Healthcare Reform Bill

Saturday, November 7th, at approximately 11 p.m., the U.S. House of Representatives consecutively rejected the Republican Party's alternative to H.R. 3962 and passed H.R. 3962, the Democrats' bill for Healthcare Reform.

It was a close vote at 220-215 (see how each rep voted here), but still a victory for House Democrats and healthcare reform. Thanks to Representative Joseph "Ahn" Cao (R-LA), it was also a bi-partisan win. Our very own 9th district representative, Congressman Baron Hill released a statement discussing why he voted for H.R. 3962. Please take the time to thank Congressman Hill for his support of healthcare reform with an email or a phone call to (202) 225-5315.
