Supplements

Here you can find a comprehensive list of websites that offer supplemental material  for emergency medical personnel.  Even the most experienced EMTs can always learn more in order to improve their quality of care.  Current EMT-Basic students should focus on learning the material presented in the course, but may find some of the following links useful if they wish to learn more about particular topics.  The information provided on these websites are for independent enrichment.  For advancement opportunities (certifications at higher levels or for additional modules), visit the advancement page.  Websites are listed alphabetically by category.  Some links are listed under multiple categories.  All links open in a new window.

Note:  IU-EMS maintains a small library of EMS-related educational materials in its office.  Visit the

resources page for more information.  The most popular commercially available printed EMT-Basic

supplements are listed on the EMT-Basic students page.  Finally, both the Indiana University Herman B. Wells

Library (new window) and the Monroe County Public Library (new window) offer EMS-related books, and

many EMS-related books and supplemental materials are available commercially from vendors such as

EMT-B (new window), Amazon (new window), and Barnes & Noble (new window).
