IU Geriatrics offers services for patients in several settings.


	Ella Bowman, MD - Director Acute Care for Elders Unit		Acute Care for Elders Unit (ACE) The ACE Unit meets the special needs of hospitalized older adults. A team of healthcare professionals, including an IU School of Medicine physician, a pharmacist, nurse, social worker, dietitian and therapist, work together to care for older adults during their hospitalization. 	Robin Beck, MD - Director House Calls for Seniors		House Calls for Seniors House Calls for Seniors is a program designed to provide team-based primary care in the home for those age 65 and over who live in Marion County and are unable to leave their homes. 	Cathy Schubert, MD - Director IU Center for Senior Health at Wishard, Extended Care, and Senior Health Center at Methodist		IU Center for Senior Health at Wishard Consultative services are the major focus of the Center for Senior Health. Following a complete health evaluation and physical examination, the center's team of healthcare professionals develops a plan of care with the patient's particular needs in mind. Extended Care In the Extended Care program, the team of doctors and nurse practitioners from IU Medical Group provide ongoing care to patients in need of rehabilitation services or long-term care in a nursing home. Senior Health Center at Methodist At the Senior Health Center, located at Methodist Hospital, we support and enrich the lives of older adults through medical treatment, education, counseling and research.
