Our local Indiana soldiers of the 76th Brigade and the 293rd Infantry have taken over control of Camp Anaconda, Iraq. This group of U.S. Army soldiers includes local soldiers and some of IU's own students, and we need to support them. One of those soldiers is IUGOP member and former Vice-Chair, SPC Tara Virgil. We wish Tara and everyone else preparing for deployment good luck, and we want them to know that we will be thinking of them and supporting them here at IU. If you want to personally address some of the IU soldiers then please contact AJ. The IU College Republicans will continue to organize events for anyone interested in showing support for our troops.
vsWe all know that the Boilermakers are no match for the Hoosiers, and that holds true in the grassroots political efforts. As members of the IU College Republicans, the confirmed best grassroots group in politics in not only Indiana but even the entire USA, it is our duty to maintain our incredible status as the best. The Monroe County Republicans Chairman and friend, Frank Andrews, has introduced a challenge between us and those hooligans in West Lafayette. Both the Monroe County Republicans and Tippecanoe County Republicans are pitching in a prize to the winners, and we want it to be IUGOP. Specific details are to come, but be prepared to do battle!
Hey Hoosiers, check out our group on Facebook!
If you are interested in joining the IU Conservative Readers then email Shawn (sdazman@indiana.edu). Also, join its Facebook group, the only place to find the latest information. By joining, you will receive tons of benefits including free merchandise and, most importantly, FREE BOOKS. The IU Conservative Readers is a separate entity of IUGOP.
