College Republicans Gear Up For A New Semester
College Republicans boost attendance in preparation for the Presidential Election
BLOOMINGTON – The College Republicans at Indiana University Bloomington hosted their Fall Call-Out Meeting September 4th with Congressman Todd Young. With over 170 students in attendance, the College Republicans began to carefully explain their plans to campaign for Local, State, and National elections.
The College Republicans followed the successful Call-Out Meeting by making 1360 calls at a local phone bank Wednesday night. The calls included a survey about the elections of Congressman Todd Young, Governor Candidate Mike Pence, and US Senate Candidate Richard Mourdock.
“The group was ecstatic to hear the Congressman speak about this November,” said College Republicans External Vice-Chairman Daniel Cheeseman. “You could tell all of the new members were hungry to make things happen and affect some real change.”
The College Republicans are an on-campus organization dedicated to promoting the principles of the Republican Party, assisting Party candidates and helping students develop leadership skills.
The College Republicans at Indiana University were formally established in 1988. The organization has played an integral role in promoting conservative values in the IU Bloomington community; while working to elect individuals who advocate limited government, individual liberty, and traditional American values.
