New feature highlights of the new IUIE version 5

• The URL display of the IUIE will change to: https://onestart.iu.edu/iuie. The IUIE can also be accessed within OneStart at https://onestart.iu.edu (on the IUB staff Links channel > IU services folder).

• The IUIE will authenticate using Central Authentication System (CAS) instead of the IU logon. All IUIE account holders will be able to authenticate to the IUIE web application using their network ID and password. Utilizing CAS will eliminate many login difficulties users have experienced in the past.

• Users can take advantage of updated access immediately upon receiving a confirmation notice, instead of waiting the 24 hours required today.

• The Create Shortcut and Save Parameters functions have been combined into one button labeled "Save Settings". Clicking this button saves the report as a shortcut in the New Shortcuts folder of My Catalog. If there are parameters entered in the report form, those will be saved as well.

• Job Log and Scheduled Reports will be two new default folders in My Catalog. These two folders replace the current submenu links but offer the same functionality in a more convenient location.

• The Manage My Catalog submenu, which includes functions such as creating and editing folders and shortcuts, has also been replaced. These important functions have now been cleverly built into My Catalog's list of folders and shortcuts. Accessing the Manage Catalog mode is a simple as clicking a button.

• The UIS-supported browsers will change for the IUIE 5 release. We will be supporting:
