Theoretical Studies in Hispanic Linguistics consists of a detailed Introduction that offers an overview of theoretical analyses of Spanish written in the past quarter-century. This introductory essay will assist the researcher in determining what issues have already been addressed. A section entitled 'Related Bibliographies' will direct the reader to other significant bibliographies that deal with relevant linguistic topics. The bulk of this work consists of alphabetized, critical annotations of selected works that have appeared since 1960. Each of the nearly 900 significant works on phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics includes complete bibliographic data to facilitate easy reference. A useful Subject Index and a Proper Name Index complement this bibliography. The purpose of this monograph is to promote and further theoretical research in Hispanic linguistics.
