Note: Travel grants are usually only awarded to students traveling to a conference to present a paper. Therefore, a photocopy copy of the letter of acceptance and a copy of the paper abstract are required. The amount of each travel grant is variable, based on the distance to be traveled and need. The general equation is fifty cents per mile, up to $200. A maximum of two travel grants will be awarded each semester, one in the summer.
Submission deadlines are October 1st, February 15th , and June 1st.
Students may be awarded a maximum of one travel grant per academic year. Applications must be submitted prior to the conference to be eligible for the travel grant. Applications will be reviewed both by the IULC and a faculty member to determine eligibility. Awardees of the travel grant are strongly encouraged to present in LingLunch.
Copies of the letter of acceptance and the abstract to your presentation should be put into the IULC mailbox in Memorial Hall, or electronically sent to iulcsecy@indiana.edu.
