All classes are implemented through task-based instruction to enhance student interest as well as classroom dynamics. Conduct midterm evaluations. Attend all-teachers and section meetings. Participated in monthly team meetings and end-of-the-semester course evaluations. The last semester joined a team of teachers to create a syllabus for a new course, Communicative English. Responsibility included choosing textbooks for both the course and the listening laboratory sessions.
1995-1997 EFL Instructor: Participated in a new graduate program in the College of Education. Taught two intensive semester term courses for middle school and high school English teachers who are working towards a Master’s degree or teaching certificate. One course was entitled Reading where the content of pedagogical reading was used to teach both how to write and how to teach reading. In the same manner, the other course, Writing, was conducted. Also, conducted an intermediate level grammar class for fourth and fifth grade students as well as a survival English class for Korean and Chinese immigrant adults.
