Research Areas

My research interests include effective teaching and learning practices at all levels, including K-12 and the undergraduate levels. I am currently researching how graduate students learn to become teacher educators. In addition I am studying my own teaching, focusing on effective ways to uncover and overcome undergraduates’ misconceptions about what it means to me a teacher.

As an experienced college instructor and pre-K- grade 12 teacher, I am particularly interested in working with undergraduates as they learn to become effective teachers of elementary mathematics and science. I am also experimenting with ways to integrate technology into my teaching in order to enhance my students’ learning.
