Take Action

We invite you to:

Essential to OHOT’s success on the IU campus is student membership. All students are welcomed and encouraged to support our campaign to end extreme poverty. Indiana University Bloomington students have a rich history of global consciousness. You are invited to join other students in supporting education in sub-Saharan Africa through IU One Here...One There.

"Be the change you want to see in the world."

Get Involved

Below are a few of the many ways that you can get involved with our organization. If you have any questions about the events, please contact us. Whether you only have a little time, or have a lot of time, your committment can help educate the children of Africa.

Fall Petition Drive

  • Help IU OHOT & the African Education and Development Relief group meet the required goal of 10,000 signatures in order to be added onto the IU Bursar Bill for Spring 2009.

  • With over 38,000 registered students at Indiana University Bloomington, even a 15% participation rate can provide over $55 thousand a semester for educating children in Africa.

Spread the OHOT Concept

  • Help OHOT network into other universities and colleges by sending us contact information. Help end global poverty through education.
    • Donate now. Send your tax deductible gift using the “Donate Now” button on the right.
    • Contact your university. Introduce your and/or your student’s university to One Here…One There. Ask them to review our website and contact us for program specifics.
    • Send Names. Email info@onehereonethere.org the names of contacts at universities that you think should consider the One Here…One There approach to global caring.

Sponsor a Child

  • For as little as $20, you can provide opportunity and hope by enrolling him/her into primary school.

  • Twenty dollars is so little, yet so much. It is less than an evening at the movies, a night out partying with friends, or a college t-shirt. Yet, in some African communities, it can provide a year of schooling for one child.
