Our goal is to make the services and resources of our department readily accessible to current and prospective students and their parents, to our alumni, to the citizens of Indiana, and to colleagues at IU and elsewhere. Our department is one of the oldest political science departments in the nation, and we are consistently recognized as one of the outstanding departments in the country.

My colleagues teach courses on a variety of topics in American politics, comparative politics, international relations, political theory, and public policy. Faculty members write and conduct research on a vast array of issues and problems that are crucial to the future of our nation and the world.
