As a pre-law student you have lots of exciting options at Indiana University. Several schools offer attractive and professional legal studies programs, but before you make the critical decision of how to spend your college years, consider a third option: a major in Political Science.
As Political Science professors (and there are even some former law students among us!) we know what it takes to get into law school, and to succeed once you are there. Last year we sent 54 of our graduates to law school (most among College departments), and we keep in touch with many of them after they leave us. Law school is about reading, thinking, and writing. The more you do of all three before you get there, the better prepared you will be to meet the challenges and competitive atmosphere of first year law. You owe it to yourself to be as well trained as you can be before you get there.
