The Indiana University
Sailing Center is located about 15 miles off campus on beautiful
Lake Lemon providing ideal weather conditions for the weekly practices
we hold. The Sailing Club offers both pleasure and competitive sailing.
Whether you would like to practice roll-tacks on the FJ’s
or cruise around the lake on a Laser you are welcome to Join!
We are regulated through Recreational Sports, which helps to ensure
safety, skill, and good sportsmanship for all sailors. We are regular
members of the Midwest Collegiate Sailing Association; and the team
has regattas almost every weekend during the spring and fall seasons.
This is an excellent opportunity to meet sailors from across the
Midwest. The Sailing Center’s fleet includes a variety of
boats that are available for our use weekly, however we compete
in FJ’s and 420’s intercollegiately. We reinstated the
club 1998 and have grown by leaps and bounds. We welcome all talent,
even if you have never sailed before, you can become a valuable
asset to our organization! |
