2. Fill out a test sheet. Doing this early will save you time standing in line.
Sheets are available at the test or you may tear out one of the sheets in this handbook and use it.
Make sure to fill out all the personal information, including belt size.
(This is usually the same size as your uniform)
3. Use the time before the test to warm-up and stretch.
When testing begins a brief explanation of procedures will be given,
then your name will be called by a judge.
Answer "Yes Sir" or "Yes Ma'am" and run to stand before the judge.
Bow when appropriate.
4. After the test, if you have passed, you will be awarded your new belt. Turn your back to the judge, remove your old belt but do NOT drop it onto the floor. Belts are treated like the flag, with respect. Hang your old belt around your neck and put on your new belt. Then turn around to face your judge. Congratulations! After a couple weeks you will receive a certificate of rank as well as your graded test sheet. Use this to help you identify areas where you need more work.
