In November 2008 a group of 13 SFedU faculty and Staff from nine academic fields came to Indiana University for a two-week visit. On this visit, the SFedU faculty attended the Advanced Training Workshop for Facutly and Staff of Southern Federal University at Indiana University organized by Professor Fowler in conjunction with the Office of the Vice President for International Affairs. In addition, the SFedU visitors had meetings with various representatives of the IU administration, visited IUPUI campus, and made trips to Brown County, Indianapolis, Chicago, Washington, and New York on the weekends.
