Kris Simmons, Webmaster A native of Indiana, Kris Simmons is a second-year master’s student pursuing his degree in voice at the Jacobs School of Music. Simmons has been involved in past IU Opera Theater productions including William Bolcom’s A Wedding, Ferrucio Busoni’s Arlecchino and Most Happy Fella. Simmons has received honors from the Indianapolis Matinee Musicale and Shirley Rabb Winston scholarship for voice. Simmons has participated in a collaboration with coach Casey Robards in a performance of Hugo Wolf’s Italienisches Liederbuch. Simmons also participated in last year's IU SNATS Living Composers Forum, featuring the works of Edwin Penhorwood. Simmons is a student of Patricia Stiles. |
