Because the performance was so well received, the work will be recorded in May. Chamber music is one of her favorite genres, especially when collaborating with her husband, trumpeter Edward Phillips. Jessica will travel to Washington in March as a soprano soloist at the National Trumpet Competition finals. This past summer, Jessica was a member of the music faculty at Belvoir Terrace, a performing arts camp for young women in Lenox, Massachusetts. Upon graduating, Jessica plans to balance a performing and teaching career. She currently resides in Denton with her husband, Eddie and their cat Cleopatra. |
