Housing and Travel

After you have chosen your Outreach Session, you will need to get to Bloomington. When making your travel arrangements remember that Indiana will be on Eastern-Standard time during your visit. Inform us of your travel when completing the Outreach Registration on the IUSPA website.

The Indianapolis International Airport is approximately 45 miles from IU-Bloomington. There are two airport shuttles that will bring you conveniently to and from Bloomington during your stay.

  • The Bloomington Shuttle is $15 one way and departs from the airport every two hours, starting at 6:40 a.m. with the last departure at 10:40 p.m. The shuttle leaves the Indianapolis Airport Ground Transportation Center located near the baggage claim and can drop you off at the Indiana Memorial Union (IMU) or at Willkie Residence Center, across from the IU School of Education. For more information about the Bloomington Shuttle, contact (812) 332-6004 or http://www.bloomingtonshuttle.com.
  • Another shuttle that is available is Star of America. Their fee is $15 and their website can be located at http://www.starofamerica.com. This shuttle also picks individuals up from the airport ground transportation center, with departure times starting at 6:20 a.m. and ending at 10:20 p.m.

We are currently working on providing housing on-campus during Outreach. On the reservation form, please let us know if you need housing and we will work with you to provide it.
