- Read the Outreach website and review materials
- Choose your Outreach weekend
- Make travel arrangements
- Complete and submit the Outreach Registration form
- Submit resume and cover letter for Outreach ASAP to Webmaster Will Li(lizo@indiana.edu)
- Submit the Indiana University HESA application to the School of Education
- Research assistantship opportunities
- Submit your Outside Interview Form if you have scheduled interviews with assistantship providers that are not attending Outreach to hesa@indiana.edu
- Complete the Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) after January 1
- Pack!
What to Bring
Bloomington can be cold in February, so bring a jacket and mittens. You might want to view the forecast before you arrive. Assistantship providers will expect professional dress when interviewing. However, social gatherings will be business casual/casual dress. The following should serve as a guide for your packing:
- Multiple copies of your resume
- “Thank You” notes
- Jacket and gloves
- Toiletries and towel
- Umbrella
- Alarm clock
- Interview clothes (suit or professional attire)
- Casual clothes
- Pockey change
