June 2005                                                                                                             Volume 2, Issue 5

Summer is upon us!  For some of us this time offers a well deserved break, here at the IU-Cisco Networking Academy Evaluation project we are as busy as ever.  I hope you are able to smell the sweet flowers and enjoy the lovely change of scenery even if you are working this summer.

Hopefully all of the one-year academies completing CCNA 4 have taken the CCNA 4 Students Survey and the two-year academies are looking towards the fall for the continuation of CCNA 3 and 4 and the CNNA 3 and 4 Student Surveys.

We will invite a select group of one-year academies (offer CCNA1 – CCNA4 in one year) to participate one final year and to have a new group of students take the CCNA 1 Student Survey and Career and Education Survey. This will help to further validate our results.  These academies demonstrated stellar participation and enrollment in both their individual programs and throughout this study.  They are exemplary academies -- CONGRATULATIONS!

Again, I hope wherever you are you are able to enjoy summer and preparation for another year teaching CCNA courses.  Thank you so much for your continued involvement with the IU-Cisco Networking Academy Evaluation Project; we look forward to another fruitful year in 2005-06.

CCNA Student Survey Reminder

Students access the CCNA Student Surveys from a link on the Cisco Student Homepage.  The link will show in the left and right navigation bars when the students are enrolled and are 50%-130% through their course.  If you have not done so please encourage your CCNA students take their respective surveys.
