NEWS FROM THE EVALUATION TEAM

The Cisco Network Academy Evaluation Project – the IU-Cisco Project – is in full-swing!  Since the Project started last year, thousands of students world-wide have completed CCNA Student Surveys, more than 4,000 students from a designated comparison group have taken the Career and Education Assessment Survey.  Additionally, about 1,500 instructors have already completed the CCNA Instructors Survey since it was launched in mid-February. We have achieved this level of success because of involvement from instructors such as you!

Please continue to encourage students at your academy to complete the CCNA Student Surveys. Cisco students may access the surveys from links on the left and right navigation area of their Cisco Homepage. If you or your students have questions about any aspect of the Project, please contact me
at jbunnage@indiana.edu or (812) 856-2454.

On behalf of the entire Evaluation Team,
thank you for your participation in the IU-Cisco Project and for your active involvement.

Evaluation Project Update

  • In the coming week, you will receive an email from us asking for important details about your course offerings and enrollment. To ensure our study is accurate and precise, we need this information. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
  • The CCNA Instructor Survey (bold) is online! This survey explores teachers' experiences in the CCNA Program, their satisfaction level with the support and training provided by Cisco, and what type of characteristics CCNA instructors share.
  • The CCNA 2 Student Survey and the CCNA 3 Student Survey are also online and available to students. Students access the Student Surveys from a link on their Cisco homepage. The link will show in the left and right navigation when enrolled students are between 50 – 130% through the respective course.
CCNA2 Student Survey- Important Information

CCNA2 students have the opportunity to earn $10 from researchers at Indiana University if they:

  1. Attend an Academy that is participating in the IU-Cisco Network Academy Evaluation Project,
  2. Previously completed the CCNA1 Student Survey,
  3. Complete all pages of the CCNA2 Student Survey, and
  4. Provide their mailing information on the last page of the CCNA2 Student Survey.

Students access the CCNA2 Student Survey from a link on the Cisco homepage. The link will show in the left and right navigation when enrolled students are between 50 – 130% through the course.

How can you help? Please encourage students to take the CCNA2 Student Survey and click the “Yes” button in the box titled “Please Read Carefully” at the bottom of page three (3).  This will transfer them to a final page which is a secure site on the IU server where they provide their mailing information.

If you have questions about which students will be mailed a $10 check, please contact JoAnne C. Bunnage at jbunnage@indiana.edu or (812) 856-2454;or iucisco@indiana.edu or 1-888-226-9234.
