IUPayPlus
IUPayPlus is a new web-based credit card processing utility that is available to IU departments. IUPayPlus is replacing the application that many of you may know as IUPay.
The IUPayPlus system not only processes a credit card payment, but it allows for additional data to be collected in ten customizable fields. These fields may be text, drop down, or check box format.
IUPayPlus does perform address verification (AVS) as well as card security checks (CSC) on each transaction. An address verification mismatch will not cause the transaction to decline, however a card security mismatch will cause the transaction to decline.
In order to use IUPayPlus, you must first be an Approved Revenue Producing Activity (RPA) in accordance with Policy I-450. You should also make sure that you are in compliance with Policy VI-120 Revenue Processing.
The IUPayPlus system can be set-up in two ways:
Most accounts will be set up as Centrally Managed unless volume dictates otherwise. If you are unsure which type of account to ask for, a needs assessment meeting should be scheduled with the e-commerce team. To request a meeting, please email Payment Card Services.
Reporting for IUPayPlus transactions is available in IUIE. Upon setting up an account, instructions are provided to the appropriate contacts.
To set-up an IUPayPlus account, please fill out the IUPayPlus Set-up Form and agree to the terms in the IUPayPlus Merchant Agreement. Once we have the set-up form, we will work with you to create a payment page that fulfills your individual departmental needs.
New requests for IUPayPlus accounts will take a minimum of one week to set-up after your department has been approved to have a Revenue Producing Activity (RPA). Emergency requests will be considered but only as Centrally Managed accounts and there will be a set-up fee of $250.00 charged to your department.
