Arrange a Campus Visit

For Prospective Students and Parents

High school or college students interested in attending IU might be interested in the special campus visit programs offered by the IU Office of Admissions. There, you can take part in an admissions information presentation, tour the campus with a current IU student, tour one of IU's residence halls, or arrange a personal academic appointment.

The Office of Admissions is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and most Saturdays during the school year, 8 a.m. to Noon. To schedule an admissions tour or get more information about their visit programs, contact the Office of Admissions or call 812-855-3512.

For students and families who are unable to travel to campus during the week, the IU Visitor Information Center offers a campus tour on Sunday afternoons at 1 p.m. Our tours do not include an admissions presentation or academic appointment. However, our campus tours are small and personalized.

For Groups, Guests, and Community

Whether you are bringing a first grade class or a group of senior citizens, let us help you personalize your visit to the Bloomington campus. Our staff can recommend attractions, build your itinerary, and provide current IU students as tour guides.

Available visit options:

• Guided tour of campus (Sundays at 1 p.m.)
• Self-guided tour of campus and the historic Old Crescent area
• Scavenger hunt for students in grades 3–8
• Campus tours for community groups

The Visitor Information Center is also pleased to be able to offer tours using our new golf cart for guests with special requests. The golf cart can accommodate five passengers in addition to our driver. These special tours are available by appointment only, pending availability and weather conditions.
