Depression

We all have our ups and downs in life. That’s just the state of human existence. When the downs outweigh the ups for a long period of time and interfere with your quality of life, you might have clinical depression.

Here are some symptoms, according to the National Institute of Mental Health:
  • You can't stop feeling sad or crying.
  • You often feel angry.
  • You've lost interest in things you love.
  • You're having a hard time dealing with stress.
Schedule a visit with your primary care physician to discuss your symptoms and treatment options. You might also consider learning ways to enjoy life more through relaxation techniques.

You and your covered family members can also schedule counseling or other treatment through Indiana University's Employee Assistance Program
