About Recent Scholarship The Journal has discontined the printed version of “Recent Scholarship.” Beginning with the June 2006 issue, the “Recent Scholarship” section of the JAH will be available to the public free of charge online at the following URL. http://www.journalofamericanhistory.org/rs/ Available as a service to OAH members, Recent Scholarship Online is a searchable, cumulative database of history-related citations for articles drawn from over 1,000 journals and for books, dissertations, and CD-ROMs. The database also includes citations to essays not available in the static "Recent Scholarship" listing mentioned above. The collection begins with the "Recent Scholarship" section of the June 2000 Journal of American History. Features Include: • Sign-up for personalized email updates and receive emails containing citations to the latest scholarship in categories or containg keywords which you have selected, months before those citations appear in the print issue. • In addition to creating temporary session bibliographies, you may save, edit, and email bibliographies that you create. • Enhanced browsing gives you the option of browsing the online version as you do the print version, by issue and category. RSO is for individual members of the OAH only. You will be asked to register for a member services account with username and password if you have not done so already. To register, you will need your OAH membership number and postal zip code; this information may be found on any mailing labels generated by the OAH. Apply for or renew OAH membership online. |
