FAQ: what does the vertical axis on an odds ratio plot mean?

The vertical distance between categories is meaningless. When lines are used to connect nonsignificant results in the plot, vertical spacing is helpful in preventing the paths between the categories from overlapping.  When lines are not used, the pack odds ratio plot option to mlogview can be used to eliminate the vertical spacing, or use the packed option for mlogplot.
