The Robert A. and Sandra S. Borns Jewish Studies Program at Indiana University invites applications for a Visiting Scholar for the 2010-2011 academic year, with the possibility of renewal for one additional year. The Visiting Scholar is expected to teach two courses in the Jewish Studies Program each semester (fall and spring). Preference will be given to scholars working in Ancient Judaism, American Jewish History, Jewish Thought, or Holocaust Studies. The position provides a stipend of $40,000. Ph.D. in Jewish Studies or a related field required. Applicants should present a cover letter, indicating the courses they would be interested in teaching, a current curriculum vitae, and three letters of recommendation. Review of applications will begin on November 30, 2009.
